When I drove my truck home from the dealer the computor said 19. 7 mpg I figured that seemed a bit high for a New truck with only 20 miles on it. Then around home windy hilly roads most of time I crusie in 5th only once on a while roads straighten out enough for 6th gear I was getting around 16. 4 Now after last trip to town I am getting around 15. 3 mpg . I got 16mpg with my 6. 9 ford on these same roads I only have 904 miles on my truck not bad for driving it from dealer 450 miles and now 2 months later it is still not over 1000 miles on odometer. Got to take a trip.

Best way to increase your fuel milage is to lie about it, that's what my brother-in-law does about his Furd, which he says gets 18 mpg pulling a 28' 5er with a V-10 gasser.

Why do these guys with the "10 cylinder" engines get stupendus gas milage? I spoke with a guy with a Dodge with a V10, and he got 24 mpg. I wonder if he only checked his mpg, using the miles from every 3rd tank full?
