fuel mileage - EPA vs. Consumer Reports

The Focus's numbers mirror the numbers my Wifes new Ford ZX2 was getting when we met. That POS was gone 2 months later. And still only had 17000 miles on it. It hit a best of 26 mpg and usually knocked down 24 ish on the highway with an automatic transmission. Her Buick Regal GS will knock down 29-31mpg all day and rip off 13. 9s at the track for a bonus all while seating 4 adults comfortably but I would still rather have a new Passat or Jetta diesel over the Regal GS.

Dad said that Mom's '05 Chevy Trailblazer (with the DOHC 24-valve I6) is getting exactly what the EPA published for city/highway.
