Fuel mileage towing with a ford?

I did 2000 miles to fla and back with a full load in the bed and three people in the cab and got 15. 5 on the computer so probable got 16-17 actually, but even at 15. 5 thats better then all those Ferds loaded or unloaded... I had a 7. 3 power joke five years ago and the turning radius on it was awful, and so was the motor.
