After installing my muffler elimination kit about two months ago and leaving my egr valve unplugged I have been happy getting 18- 21 mpg on the overhead and the math matched it too. I ran the egr unplugged with the muffler on for a month and got better mileage, about 17 mpg. The truck used to get 14-17 town and highway. I have a egr delete kit comming from ebay for a real nice price 6. 7L DODGE CUMMINS DIESEL EGR BLOCK OFF PLATE :eBay Motors (item 200358155331 end time Jul-29-09 20:18:50 PDT)

I followed your link to eBay and looked at the parts. They look good and appear to be professional quality parts. Let us know how they work when installed.

I have a hard time believing the mileage "results" that the delete kits produce. My '07 with the 5. 9L never did better than 18 mpg...

The only thing I could say is maybe my driving style is different than yours. This is also with no programmers or cold air, all stock.

Everything stock and I get 18-19 mpg hand calc'd on the highway. I guess I can leave my EGR and muffler on. :-laf Wish my overhead could match my hand calc'd numbers.

Question, how does your emissions that you did leave on, regen without the EGR? Just asking not picking.

Blocked off the EGR, Dropped the DPF/CAT added a Smarty. . Light foot - Shift @ 1500, No Load, no playing with Furds, overhead settles in @ 19 - 22 w/o wind... Best trip todate 595 Miles on 1 tank. Couldn't get 450 before...

Of course those numbers fade to anywhere between 12 and 16 with the heavy foot, beats 10 - 12 when it was regenning

So far everthing is normal. I'm no expert on the matter though. Two weeks ago the computer said my dpf was at 80 percent so I jumped on the interstate for about 10 minutes and it went away. I guess it was all that putt putting around looking for more groundhogs to shoot. That was the first time in a year and a half of owning the truck that I saw that message. Like I said everything seems normal

Sorry Thought I cleared that up -10 - 12 when it WAS regenning - stock... I had a BADP delete kit but turned out it still regenned from time to time. Went to the Smarty - haven't thrown a code since!!! With just the BADP - I got some messages that the DPF was full. It was 500 miles away in the garage. .
