Fuel Mileage

A question for you guys running the 6. 7L. Anyone running 3. 73 gears and a manual transmission 4x4, what kind of mileage are you getting?

Last fill-up was 14. 6 mpg with some highway and some city driving. See sig for truck info.

I get between 12 & 14 mpg mixed driving solo and 9 to 10 towing with a combined towing weight of 24000 lb

17-18 MPG mixed highway (65 MPH) and city driving.
9-10 towing 14,000 LB 5th wheel.

All hand calculated miles by gallons used.

I've owned 4 Dodge Cummins diesels (99 dually auto, 05 dually 6 speed manual, 06 SRW auto, 09 SRW auto) and this 09 6. 7 68RFE is the best towing and cruising Dodge Cummins I have ever owned.

Doing the Same mileage with my 6 speed Auto and the 3:73

One thing I did was add a Tonneau Cover on the bed. . SEEMS. . like it has helped but don't know if that is just from the engine getting broke in or not.

Just finished a highway trip to and from Jacksonville, FL... 15. 8 hand calculated average both ways (17. 5 on the overhead).



Used to be 17+ on highway until the last flash (AX)



This is running unloaded with the cruise set at 77mph on I-10. I noticed when I use my foot instead of cruise to maintain speed, mpg increases by about 1-1. 5 on the overhead.

I have found that 65-70 is the best for my truck on the freeway. . Cruise does good too
