If you guys remember, I had about 17. 5 on the test tank.

Well, a road trip to Virginia and back, with a few test runs, stop and go DC traffic ,and 70 mph cruising ended up at 19. 5.

I ain't complaining!!!!!:D

Is THAT what it is????

There is no markings- I was thinking about engraving "SLED PULLER" on it and selling it!

You owe me an e-mail from a week ago,BTW!:mad: :{ :{

That's Nice!

Hey Gene,

Good to hear that the new "equipment" is running sweet :D What are your boost numbers on average? If that information isn't classifide :p

Russell

I am still taking it easy until I get the wastegate hooked up, but we hit 69# pretty easy.

Nail it, boost is buried. It is hard to keep it UNDER 60#.

Cruising it is on 1#(digital), on a grade, it will go to 2,3#.

But it is like about having 20# on the old system, like 1/2 a second lag, then your just gone, trying to keep it straight.

Try to reach the dashboard, just try it!

Next year, we are going to turn the fuel up.

Gene

Cool

Thanks, I have been wondering how those twin systems act when they are not defcon 5 :D I want to check those things out sometime, need a MDTDR event ha ha :)

Russell

60# of boost.

:--)I am curious to know what is done to the head to hold up to those kind of pressures. For that matter, the rest of the motor. Oo.

what DID they do, you mean what DIDN'T they do.....

They do what is called o-ringing the block, where a gasket is not nesscary, this is only 1 way I know of. I know HVAC can do this, is this what EE did Gene?

Andrew

O-ringing the block just keeps the head gasket from blowing from high boost/cylinder pressures.

The Cummins beef keeps the engine together. And some Enterprise secrets. ;)

After seeing Daves engine apart, I see no reason the 600 hp on down engines should not hold together for 400,000 miles at semi-normal driving, towing.

Obviously, racing every chance you get would shorten the life of any engine.

Gene

now I'm really droolin:rolleyes:

I have a spare 35 on the garage... . a new housing and some fab work... I bet I could break all kinds of stuff!!!

Caution!!!!

Whoa Mark, calm down and take a deep breath. Bombitus of the more extreme state can be seriously hazardous to your health. ;) :D :D :D

Problem? what problem?

Seriously, I really love my B1. I does what I bought it for and more. My appetite has JUST changed a little. I want supercharger like response. I want to have to feather the throttle to keep from breaking stuff at low rpm.

800+ ftlb at 1100 rpm would be nice;):D:D

Realistically, getting boost coming in at 14-1500 like an overfueled 35 would be great. I want to come off the line like a rocket and pull to 3300. I don't ask for much, do I?:-laf

I talked to Kurt and He has Ideas. He's at home playin hookie, I mean sick and said he'd call tomorrow. I guess he knows how to keep an idiot in suspense:p

I have some good words for Piers. I talked to him yesterday and he was extremely heplful. more than I could expect from a vendor who knows I will only buy the absolutely neccessary items from anyone. I got a lot from a rather long conversation and he was patient, forthcoming with info and polite as I took care of questions here in the office. I'm gonna have to find a way to repay the favor. If I ever meet him he gets at least a pitcher.

We(Piers & I) got to talking. Does anyone out ther have a VP44 ETC/ETH with twins and a manual transmission? He couldn't think of any and I sure don't know of any.

I'd like to talk to them if they exist. I'd really like a ride too

 :D:D

Hey Mark, give Mitchell a call and they'll tell ya all you need to know, if you read Jim's post about his new twin setup, I mentioned one of the 6 speeds from Mitchell's that I rode in and all I can say is wow, it was totally unbelievable especially for a 9000lb truck. Hope this helps.
