Needing some help on a performance mods on a 94 4x4 3500 5spd 140k miles. Just ordered the #5 TST plate and looking for advise on 370 injectors. Ordered the 4" exhaust (keep egt's down). Also air intake of choice anyone? I have have a 24v '98 with AFE air intake and edge programmer and want similar performance out of my new 12v... I noticed a lot of threads mentioned going to a numerically higher number plate with 3kgsk. . a better combo? I just ordered the plate and exhaust so I could change the plate #. Also are the 370 injectors the ones to go with in this combo or are they too much?Where will my egts be with this combo towing approx 10,000lbs safe/dangerous? I realize the clutch will be the first to go with any power mod and I have full gauges to keep an eye on those egts ect. Any help with the 12v would be greatly appreciated as this is being set up for work, toting around skid loaders ect at 7000' and need reliability as well as power and driveability. Thanks in advance

Kevin

My '94 loved the 3kgsk. A BHAF is more air than you'll need and much cheaper than an afe. The big one from NAPA fits mine perfect with the stock airbox pulled. My egt's can break 1200 uphill without towing on stock injectors, and I would assume 370s would be even hotter. Let us (me) know if you like 'em if you put them in.

Ya might look at the #10 plate. It's a better all around plate, it's alil weak on the top end compaired to other plates. It's the plate tho that most vendors recomend for towing. I've heard the #10 works well with a 3 GSk but I have no expreince with that. I love my 370s, tho they do get really hot when towing in OD. But alls I have to do is downshift to 3rd and their back in check.
