I was wondering if anyone had a template to follow when cutting your own fuel plate. I am thinking about cutting mine to save money. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I was thinking with going with either a #10 or #8 profile. The truck is a 94 auto with a few upgrades. Thanks.

if i had a manual i would... but i have an auto... i guess i could slide it back a little... do you have a template for that... thanks...

I know it has been posted before on one of these sites. Don't recall where exactly.

A 100 plate would be less power in an auto truck, than a a manual. Put it in stock postion as the old plate, and just becareful with the skinney pedal.

Save up for a new transmission now. ;) Mo' power is a slippery slope. Thought I'd stop with a 10 plate. Ya, right. Got bit. :-laf

im workin on it... i want to do the same conversion that pete97 did... converting to a manual... i already want more and more power... just waiting for a transmission that will hold... do you know where that might have been posted on here... any guesses... thanks

Troutman, did you find a #10? There is a thread by KMahnke 02-05-2005 and a reply by KMahnke on 02-07-2005 with a dimension drawing of a modified stock plate that is similar to a #10. I kept a copy of the post for when I get the nerve to grind mine.

Have fun, Tom

I've got some dimensions I used to make a # 10 type of plate. I'm trying to post it on here but I'm not having any luck so I could e-mail or maybe Pm it. I had a guy wire edm this shape at work using these dimensions. It really made the truck fly.

I've got 3 stock plates in my tool box that I can cut too, when someone can out perform my #6 with a cut plate I switch over too... ... ... . it's not like there high.

Jim

I ran a zero profile on my 98 12v auto... I only ground it just slightly deeper than the deepest point on the stock plate. I ran it full forward with no problems. you can run a 10 or whatever, just slide it back if need be.

Hey Jim... think i could get ahold of one of those stock plates... i went to grind mine the other day and came to find out that the plate was missing... let me know... thanks
