Does anybody know what gains there is by moving the stock fuel plate forward? If any. All you here about is a aftermarket one or home made plate.

Use the Search feature under Discussion Forum and you will find tons of info on fuel plates. Also, fill out your signature in the User Control Panel, which is located under Discussion Forum. This will let everyone know what truck you have and any mods. The gains you get from moving your stock plate will depend on which pump you have. Here are some links to get you started:

Gauges?

I wouldn't do any sliding of the plate till you get some gauges to keep track of exhaust temps. 40 hp more means nothing if you fry your engine or melt a piston.

I have isspro gauges I have the plate about 1/4" forward now and afc housing all the way forward

never had it more than 700 degrees post turbo (1000 pre) and pull 26 foot live stock trailer loaded with fat cattle

can hit 27 psi boost

Matt, could the pump on yours be why it didn't make a big difference in power?

I know it took mine from being trash on the road to passing the trash on the road. .

If my trans was in better condition, I would like to dyno mine to see the actually difference between stock position and slid...

Dynoed my 96 180 pump auto at 206 rwhp on a dynojet 248x stock injectors ,stock timing, and no gsk ,stock plate full foward at sea level.
