Hello All!

My '94/ 5 speed is stock outside of a 4" exhaust and K&N filter so the cam plate and GSK seem to be direction to go along with a gauge package of course.

My question is there are several companies who have cam plates as well as springs kits. I am unsure if they are just resellers or if the are manufacturering the plate etc. Winding springs is another story I understand that...

I pull a trailer that loaded I have have a GVW of 26000 pounds.

My plans are for the following:

1. gauges... pyro, boost

2. # 10 cam plate & 3000 GSK

3. injectors 215..... probably do both 2&3 at same time

and of course a new SB clutch.

The folks at Piers suggested that due to the load not to run larger injectors of than the 215's

So, with all my rambling... . Are all cam plates the same?

Thanks,

Tom P:rolleyes:

The cam plates of the same numbers in different pumps produce different results.

In your case the #10 is fairly mild, a number zero would be most radical. Say this plate gives you 220/670 hp/tq. this plate is rated for about 330/750 in a 1996-1998, 12v. 5spd truck (different pump and 215 injectors. . oem).

The injectors will likely yield you 30-40 hp. and about 100 lb. ft in torq.

You were correctly advised, as the number 10, gsk and 215's can make plenty of egt's when towing the load you describe, maybe 1400+, in alltitude, head wind etc.

You will be fine with this set up, just glance at the pyro/egt's and back off the go pedal, downshift for revs etc. as required.

Provided the timing and fuel pressure is ok, you are about to get a large grin!

Enjoy, Andy
