I just came across a 94 3500 4x4 standard cab stick shift cummins. . It has 241,000 miles on it. . Interior is ragged out, and the exterior needs paint. . It's at the local dodge dealership where it had some work done. . It has a new clutch, shocks, and brakes. . For the heck of it, I asked a buddy that works at the dealership if the owner would like to sell it. . He made a call and told them I'd give them 3 grand for it. . They said they'd take 4. . The truck needs a lot of TLC, though it might be worth it. .

My buddy went to start the truck, and they had to push up on the fuel position solenoid to get it to start. . Is this an expensive part? Is is a pain to install? Any help would be appreciated. .

Its about a $175 part if its the solenoid. Alot of times its just the Relay on the firewall. The fuel solenoid is located on the AFC housing and its held to the motor with 3 bolts. Its right on top and would take the better part of 15 minuites with a beer break included to swap. Lots less if its only the relay. Not to sure how to tech that however.

On edit, Id stick closer to the 3G mark, sounds like its been ridden hard and put up wet. Either that or have a full inspection done on it. Lots of stuff could be bad with that mileage and condition.

If you get it just put a choke cable in instead of a fuel shutoff solenoid. $10 at tractor supply.

I'll see if they'll come down any more. . If I buy it, I want everything to work properly. I'll send it to have the interior and paint done before it ever hits my driveway. .
