Has anyone out there have any experience using the additive Fuel Power? Here is the link to their web site. Would this be a good idea for an engine that has over 120K mileage?

What are you trying to accomplish by using the product, do you have a specific result you're looking for?

-lubricate the injection pump

-clean the valves

-increase power

Thanks for the reply. If you look at the claims the manufacture makes, this is the magic excelsior for a diesel engine. My question is this? Does it work and does all of this and if so might it also have harmful side effects?

If you don't have the DPF that came on the 07. 5 and newer trucks, it shouldn't hurt. It may help with lubrication and mileage. I used a couple of bottles and couldn't tell any difference. I got them free from my BIL that sold his Freightliner, so I wasn't out anything.

I think this is probably like the rest of them.

I like and use "Power Services" for lube and de-jell reasons and the extra mpg is great too.

I think this is a good question to ask yourself before adding anything to your fuel.

Good answers would be: control water, fight biological growth, reduce gelling, improve lubricity.

If you have a good source of fuel, additives are unnecessary. If your fuel source is questionable, then the right additives can reduce the chances of a fuel-related breakdown.
