This is an interesting question, I think. I installed my fuel pressure gauge and senders last summer. I also put in a new lift pump last summer. My readings right now are in the good range -
10-11 psi while driving, loaded or unloaded at just about any speed. This is before the filter from the pump. After the filter is where it gets interesting. I have an increase in pressure across the filter of 2-3 psi. It has always been this way. I'm using a gauge and senders from the Jaguar place that Steve St. Laurent references in his post. I have both senders mounted on the filter canister and I'm also running modified banjo bolts. Occasionally, the gauge needle likes to get to dancing, usually when I have the switch set to monitor the outlet from the filter. I have had absolutely no problems with acceleration, towing or otherwise. The truck has responded in a most excellent manner, whenever I've needed throttle. Any ideas on the cause and or cure if there is something that isn't right.
