Just looking for some help and advice on installing mechanical fuel pressure guage with isolator?

1. What fluid do you use between gauge and isolator?

2. What type of line/hose to use between fuel line and isolator?

3. Where do most mount isolator?

Thanks in advance, I guess I could always get a shop to do it but I'm somewhat mechanical inclined just dont want to mess anything up, especially on my truck ha ha

Fuel Pressure Piping

1. I used some of the antifreeze from my overflow tank.

2. Some use greasegun hoses. I used a braided line from Diesel Manor. Regular fuel line should work just fine as long as you have the proper

fittings to go with it. If you make your own, I would suggest fuel injection hose

as it is a little better quality than normal everyday fuel line from local autoparts.

3. I mounted mine on the firewall on driver side.

I suggest a look at genosgarage.com to get some ideas. They will be able to

supply any parts you need.

I should have some pics that may help.

I used the nylon tubing that came with it. It's only around 8 lbs of pressure on '05's.

Mounted on the lip above the filter and attached at the filter output (no room on pump with a Jacobs Brake).

I used RV water systems antifreeze.

I had an Autometer Ultra-Lite Electric Fuel Pressure gauge installed with the FASS. I did not want to mess with any of the things you have questions about. Been on for close to a year now. No problems at all and I am very happy with it.

Mounted my isolator just over the fuel filter, on the lip of the firewall. Pics in my readers rigs section. I just used the supplied lines, small clear one, that came with the gauge kit. Been on there for 4 yrs now, no problems. I used standard antifreeze in the isolator and none in the line to the gauge. After a while the antifreeze climbed up the line, but I have not had any unsteady readings or leaks into the gauge.
