I was just advised that the 3rd generation trucks do not need a fuel pressure gauge, is this true? I hear alot of talk about guys installing them in the 3rd generation with no problems, I was advised that I can install it but its not necessary. Currently I have the di-pricol egt, boost, trans and diff gauge, I now have one empty slot on my column and am thinking of which other gauge I can install in it instead, only if this is true though.

If I dont really need the fuel pressure gauge, Im thinking of installing another egt gauge so I can monitor the other side of the manifold.

Any comments welcomed.

With no engine mods the only thing it would alert you to is a failing lift pump. When I installed mine with the edge ez on I found I was pulling the injection pump inlet into a vacuum at full throttle. Without a fueling box or other mods that should not happen to you. On the other hand, knowing the lift pump is going bad before it actually dies is a good thing!

Better safe then sorry... I would like to figure a way to put a 4th gauge in... maybe with the attitude I will swap out a boost gauge for a FP gauge. Would you take out an anolog boost gauge or pyro gauge for a FP gauge. I'd still have the two on the attitude.
