fuel pressure gauge

I just recently had a lift pump replaced and after reading all the posts regarding the poor performance of these OEM pumps, where in the Seattle area can I get a gauge installed and any idea of the cost involved?

I agree with Bob, do it yourself, it's not hard at all. Just post what you want to install and you will quickly learn the best way, one of the plus's of being a member . Don't take this as a shot at the vendors/shops out there, it is not. If you want a shop to do it and the Powershop is close, go for it. I believe that Evan Beck works there, he's a TDR member and well respected for his knowledge on this site.

Dewdo, there are a few guys getting together at Rob Hanson's this Saturday AM at 9:00. I know there will be some gauge experts there and you'd be welcome to show up and get some advice/assistance. Have you been there before? I can PM directions if you haven't been to his place near Enumclaw.

Go to a "Bombing" party

Occasionally the LSTDR guys have a bombing party. Guys bring their parts and everyone helps with the installs. See if there is one in your area, or try to instigate one. Great thing to do if you want to do the install, but are uneasy about your aptitude.



With the posts I have read from guys in your area, there is no shortage of experience around you.

Thanks for the information & advice guys. Sure appreciate it. I am going to have to wait a couple of week until I get my Social Security check to tackle this job. I am not very mechanical, especially on diesels and/or computer controlled vehicles of any kind. Afraid of them I guess.
