I really want to go with a manual guage, not an electric. All I can find is 0-15 and 0-100 pound gauges. From what I understand, 17 pounds can be normal, so that pretty well eliminates a 0-15 pound gauge. I doubt that I could read much on a 0-100 pound gauge. What I really need is a 0-30 pound gauge! Does anyone make one? What are some of you using that you really like? Any help will be appreciated.

I've been using a Hewitt 0-30psi mechanical gauge since early November. It matches the factory gauges well and is well lit. You can order it with an isolator that keeps fuel out of your cab. You can also omit the isolator and keep it simple like I did. Having a glycol leak in your dash is not any better, IMHO, than a diesel leak. No leaks so far. I don't know any sources for this gauge. The distributor I bought it from no longer carries Hewitt.

ISSPRO offers a 0-30psi mechanical gauge as well. I suggest you check out www.wildcatdiesel.com for info on these.

Isspro makes a 0-30 mechanical gauge in their EV line, it matches the rest of their EV series. Piers Has them.

I use Bill Fleming 's idea of a needle valve snubber then line to gauge. I use electrics, but still use the needle valve snubber idea. Limits what can go wrong if ALL else fails.

I got Isspros on the way ( 0 - 30 psi mechanical)

my autometer's 3rd sender lasted 2 days then did the crappie flop

now I have a good boost and egt guage for sale

0-35 psi

Some use boost gauges as you can get them in 0-35? A guy at Diesel Dynamics (cant remember name) said I could use a boost gauge. I havnt hooked it up yet but have heard of others running this way!

I am wanting to have a pre and post filter Fuel presure gauge by using one gauge so i am assuming my only choice it to use a electronic gauge. How do I do this? Obviously 2 sending units, one pre and one post but how do I do up the switch? Is it just a regular switch with one wire coming in on the postive side, the other on the negative?

Jeff

Assuming your senders have just a ground and signal wire you use what's called single pole double throw switch (SPDT) Radio Shack or similar has them. The center terminal goes to your gauge, the outer terminals to each sender's signal wire.

What do you all use to feed the manual guage in the cab?? I want it flexible, heat resistant, very thin, and not easily torn open. I will feed it to the cab with a valve/snubber. I am not to pleased with the Napa nylon type line for gauges. Thanks ED
