does any one make an electric fuel pressure guage that works???

I have a autometer phantom

second sending unit lasted about two days before doing the RUDY - TIFF

:(

Have you isolated your sensor from the engine? if not a remote mount will keep it happy for a long time. The vibration from the engine is brutal.

I haven't had a problem yet with my Westach. I have the sending unit attached to the intake horn. The grease gun hose is threaded into one of Geno's banjo bolts at the supply of the VP. Pictures can be found here

I've got the same exact setup (Westach w/ grease gun hose attached to tapped banjo on VP44). No problems and very accurate.

thanks for all the info

I will see if I can get a new sender again and try isolating first

If that doesnt work, then a new guage will be installed

Dakota Digital gauges...

I am running the Dakota Digital electronic fuel pressure gauge with the sending unit screwed directly into the post-filter test port on top of the filter base. No isolation from engine vibration and no problems since installed late 2002. The fuel pressure gauge is capable of measuring 0 - 150 psi, depending on the sender you order with the gauge. I am using the 0 - 30 psi sender and set the gauge up for 0 - 30 psi. No problems.

Also running the Dakota Digital EGT set up as well. They work wonderfully.

If the sender goes out, then I will isolate the next one.

Not associated with Dakota Digital, but I am a satisfied customer!:D ;) :D

I will probably try them (dakota ) next if the isolation doesnt work

they (dakota ) are only 2 hours away and seem to have good customer service

wish they had a white faced guage to match autometers though

On the up side...

the Dakota digital with the teel blue displays match the OEM displays pretty well at night. I like them and they seem to work very well.

I love the customer service. I talked to them many times before I bought mine... and they were always happy to answer any questions I had. A bit more pricey than some of the others on the market, but I don't mind paying for a good product!

The reason I went with the Dakota set up was that I could get all matching electronic gauges, and not have to worry about fuel or some other mixture in the cab area of the truck for fuel pressure.
