Was driving through town yesterday when I glanced at FP gauge and was at 7#. Usually 16 at idle 13-14 on the interstate. Truck has 38000 mi. on it.

When I gave it about half throttle to see how much pressure dropped was surprised to see it go up to 15# and then stay there when I eased off the peddle. After afew minutes would drop back to 7 or 8 at cruise but if I accelerated would go back up again. Noticed that on WOT pressure would not increase most of the time but would never drop any either.

When I start the truck it goes to 16# and immediately drops to 8#

Anyone ever experienced this? Hoping its the sending unit or gauge and not the LP.

You can try bleeding at the sender ,sounds like foam ,(air mix ) Is sender off the motor if not move it to a stable place if possible to stop foam forming . LOL Ron Bissett in Metro Louisville KY:D

Finally had time to test some stuff. Used a standard pressure gauge on the inlet and outlet side and got the same readings, the filter is good, so I guess the pump is taking a dump. Now I have to decide which way to go - replacement at the stock location or by the fuel tank. Definitely have to have it done by the end of the month. Can't miss the Chilly Festival in Hatch NM!!!

Any hints would be appreciated.
