Fuel Pressure Issue!!

so i got some new fuel today... . and later on i looked at my diprocol optix FP guage and it says 15!!!! i have a stock lift pump, brand new filters, stock and fleetguard 2 micron..... can a LP just work that much better? or did my guage take a dump? i know that bad fuel can cause yout FP to drop... but go up??? and after the filters?

update. . all seems to be going well. drove it for 5 more miles up and down some hills and the FP was back at 7 ... no clue

Funny you should mention this. I recently changed filters and suddenly noticed 15 psi before the engine starts, with a quick drop to 12. 6 after startup.

I suspect the internal bypass in my pump (Holley Blue) is on its way out.

But in general you must expect some funny pressure readings on a new filter until all the air has been purged out.
