I've been having to change my fuel filter about every week due to loss of fuel pressure. When I change it the coffee cup size o-ring on the top of the filter is stretched out, and I assume letting my pressure bleed off back to the dirty fuel side. I've been running some combination of BD for the past 2 years, but this has just now happened. Any Ideas???? Starting to get expensive.

What brand fuel filters are ya using? I have used Fleetguard but they have changed, they no longer say stratapore on the, and they look cheaper built, cummins parts guy says they are supposed to say new and improved. I see Autozone and pepboys fuel filters are made in Bulgaria. Purolator use to say Stratapore on them, but not any more.

I for got to add on my quick reply that not all O-rings are created = , Viton o-rings are impervious to diesel fuel, Buna type will expaned and go limp.

Check your fuel pressure.

I had the same issue with 2 filters. Bought at Carquest, but were Fleetguard filters in the box.

Bd will make the seals swell, i fixed mine by using a 2002 fuel filter housing. Bought it on ebay. The top is black plastic and the bottom of the housing stays in place.

The wif sensor plug worked but i had to buy a harness off ebay to get the heater plug.

The black top housing/filter doesn't have the big ring at the top, only a seal at the bottom. Napa filters dont seem to mind the bd mix and i change my filter every other oil change with out any problems.

Beware of some filters you get on the net or cut rate car stores, bd will eat the body of the filter and it will fall apart.
