I installed a fuel pressure gauge on mine to fill the left over hole in my triple pillar pod. I had a suspicion that my fuel pressure was weak-- 20psi dropping to 12psi at full throttle. I checked my filters and lines. Finally, I installed a new overflow valve from Piers and that took care of the problem. I never see anything below 20psi or over 30 now.

12 valves rarely give trouble with fuel pressure. Checking occasionally should be sufficient.

The gauge will respond quickly with just a hair sized restriction (i. e. almost closed needle valve) because only a minuscule amount of fuel flows though it, the pressure of the fuel in the line is just changing. I've seen some gauges respond slowly when they are plumbed with large rubber hose due to more fuel having to flow though the restrictor in order to expand and fill the larger hose. 1/8" tubing is plenty for measuring FP.

Thanks for pulling them up Mark.

I dont know how to re size them.

I only know enough to get myself in trouble.

Fuel filter changes are a little difficult, but other than that I like my setup.

I have an electric gauge on the pillar, and a switch, so I can see pre and post filter pressure. I dont however think the senders are calibrated good enough to really justify this. Even with a new filter it shows a few lbs differential. :(
