Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) fuel pressure problems

i was outside my truck the other day and i hopped inside and my fuel pres was at 5psi assuming that the lp was done for i got a new one and it was slow at first to get up to 10 psi and after 2 starts it was back at 5 and then less almost 0 psi no leaks in lines bad lp or bad gauge any ideas ???

Hey I just went through the same thing you did. I had an Edge Juice With Attitude Minitor installed and my fuel pressure went from 11 to 9,8,7,6,5,4,3 my engine was rebuilt about 7,000 miles and fuel pump was replaced then to.

I changed the fuel filter and had no change I was online and was adviced on relocating the Lift pump. I ordered a Fuel Pump relocation kit from Genos Garage I went with the Big Line Kit as well and my fuel pressure went up to 13 running down the road it runs 12 psi and 10 to 11 WOT.

I have been around this block too many times. Hook up a mechanical gauge to verify what you really have. I had a sending unit that was doing the same thing and after i replaced the LP and screwed around for a couple days I had the great idea that it might be the sender#@$%! sure enough it was the sender. So I always check with a mechanical before buying parts... . Just my 2 cents. .
