I can't seem to locate the website or TDR member that used to sell a setup for testing fuel pressure while you were driving. (tape to the windshield)

If somebody has some great ideas to make up my own, let's hear them.

Thanks,

Troy

I made my own from an A/C charging hose an a gauge from a Fisher valve, but if you follow the link in my signature, Doug at ADT has them already made for $35.

Hi Troy

I used quick disconects from a 134 A/C hoses. I stuck it to windshield

with a cheap dent puller(suction cup).

It worked good til i got one mounted inside the cab.

Have a good one------Frank

I just received the tester I purchased from Rip. It showed up fast.

Do I just connect it to the VP44 & test drive, or do I have to bleed air off?

Tester

Hook it up on the schraeder valve on the VP & your ready to go. No need to bleed. It's a nice setup.

Pressure Questions??

I hookes up the fuel pressure tester and had the following:

Idle: 11-12 psi

Cruise: 7-8 psi

WOT: 3-4 psi

Changed the fuel filter (only 4,000 miles on it). No Change.

Went to the dealer & they said fuel pressure was 15psi at idle & 10 psi WOT.

The diesel tech has been a lot of help in the past, but it makes me wonder. .

Is there a difference in pre-filter & post filter fuel pressures? How much pressure loss should be expected?

Thanks,

Troy
