Hi guys, got a question, my lift pump fuel pressure isn't always the same, i put the vulcan big line kit from filter to vpump, i installed a fuel pr. guage, and the pressure was 15 at idle, and wouldnt go below 5 at hard throttle, i tried to install the genos extended line so sender would not have so much vibration, well i couldnt get the air out i tried everything, but it would just read very low, so i took it off, and put sender back on vulcan line at pump, no pressure is 12 at most, and drops below 5 before full throttle. I would think any air would be gone its been a week and the truck drives and starts fine, and has plenty of power. Any help or suggestions would be great, thanks Eric

If you have a gauge isolator, you need to follow the instructions to properly set it up. If the gauge is an electric one, air in the line will not affect the reading.

If the banjo fittings are still in the system, high demand will mean low pressure. I got all the banjo fittings out of mine using the big line kit from Geno's and now I can't pull the pressure down more that 1 psi even with the Smarty tune #7 in.

I noticed on mine, you could screw the grease gun fitting in far enough it restricted the flow of the fuel. I used the pink teflon tape, and screwed the fitting in till it stopped seeping.

Is it possible your fuel filter needs changed? Borrow a pressure gauge and see how accurate your electronic gauge really is.

Thank you, that may be the case, because, i had more until i used the hose, which did screw in further, and there is not much room in the vulcan fitting to screw sender in all the way. i will try pink teflon, and not put sender in as far, and check results. also i changed the fuel filter, about 3 weeks ago, but before the line change, where i drained the bowl, when i changed the fuel filter, i didnt drain bowl, just lifted filter out, and slowly lowered new filter in.
Thanks
