I had a dealer recently tell me my lift pump was below the minimum pressure published by DC. I was told I was showing 9 psi and the minimum was 10 psi. Since I had not removed my VA box I was told I would have to pay for the replacement.

My question now is what is the proper

Dewdo in the other Washingtonoperating range of the fuel pump?

proper is 13-15psi at idle. . 12-14 at cruise and never below 8-9 at WOT.

#@$%! He's full of it. A VA box does not affect a lift pump in the least.

I got mine replaced under warranty after DD3s PE Drag comp, B1, BHAF, 4" ex and a Ram Air hood.

My truck screams . . "I'VE BEEN BOMBED" at the dealer from the street before I hit the parking lot. :D:D:D:D

#@$%! He must prove that the VA box caused the failure. #@$%!

find another dealer.

Good luck,

Mark

I replaced my lift pump last night! :D It had been running with about 6 to 8 lbs of pressure, and it would drop to 3 lbs at WOT. Now it's at the levels posted by Mark. This is the 3rd lift pump for my truck in 105k miles. First was replaced under warranty around 60k miles along with an injection pump.

And my better half says I'm always wrong:rolleyes: I guess lightning strikes now and again;):D:D

Hey Mark

What is your psi at WOT with the comp on 5/5? With that much fuel you should be dropping below 9 psi with the factory lift pump.

I had only DD3 until this weekend and the stock fuel system kept up fine.

I just put in some custom mental^2 injectors but I also replaces the banjo bolts w/weber adapters and #6 a/n fittings.

I forgot to watch the gauge but I didn't notiice ant difference.

before anyone asks. . a weber adapter is for carbs. . 12mmx1. 5mm thread w/#6 a/n on the other side. it takes 5 weber fittings, 4x90* #6 aeroquip and one 45* aeroquip.

I got the parts list from HVAC. Call summit and they'll send them to ya.

yes I have a comp, but a comp is limited by the injectors.

now I make smoke on 1/1 like dd3s at 5/5!!!!!

tree huggers, run for your lives:-laf:-laf

I just reread your first post. Sorry for asking a redundant ?. I should read before I write. When you had your DD3 and the Comp on 5/5... . your pressures never dropped below 8psi. With the full factory fuel system:--) When you add the new lines and fittings are you moving the pump back to the tank? Thanks:)

full stock never below 8. .

lift pump is still in stock location. I haven't noticed any drops after thefittings and injectors, but wait for more data on that one. I'll be home friday to tell more.
