Fuel Pressure

Installed the Fuel pressure kit from Geno's on

my 98. 5 ,the port after the filter, and it read

9. 8 psi.

I changed the filter and the pressure read 10. 0

psi. It never gets over 10. 0 psi now. What should be the normal range for fuel pressure ,after going through the filter ?

My '98. 5 reads 11 psi at an idle out of that same port. Has been the same for a year. Our difference could be the differences in gauges. Mine cruises mostly around 9 psi and will go down to 7 at WOT which don't happen very often.

Thanks WYOJIM, I guess that I was expecting

13 to 14 psi. My 98. 5 runs 9 to 10 psi at all rpm

and since yours does also I guess we are OK

PSI ?

To take the guessing out of the way ,take a manual gauge of known value and put in to other port , the difference should not more than one to two PSI with serviceable filter, new just about the same , if gauge if off you will know how to add or subtract for actual pressure. mine is 11 at idle, on level 3 it drops to 3 :--) time for a pusher pump.

Hey Ron..... Why don't you bring your manual gauge up to Wyoming and check mine, then take it down to Texas and check boater's and then we will have a good reference.
