Those of you w/ fuel pressure guages installed-

Do you lose FP when you shut the truck down?

I don't have bad starts/stalling but I lose FP every time I shut the truck down. I just want to see what everyone else is seeing so I can diagnose the symtom.

My guage is installed aft filter in the supply line at the inj. pump.

Thanks

I installed a mechanical FP gauge in my '95 when it was almost new and it has always crept down slowly after shutting down but over the years has started creeping down faster. Replacing the overflow valve changed nothing. Truck starts and runs fine so I'm not going to worry about it.

When I first started experimenting with FP gauges I tried an electrical ones, senders didn't last long, one of the symptoms of impending failure was the pressure staying up long after shut down.

Thanks for the illflem.

I just wanted to make sure something wasn't wrong. I've replaced the lift pump and overflow valve all I have left is the fuel lines. Maybe next spring!
