Hey guys,
Changed out my fuel filter on my '99. Pulled the plug out of the top of the filter housing and turned on the key... ... ... . repeated this 5-6 times... ... ... ... ... . it never did run fuel out of the housing port.
Shouldn't the LP have pushed fuel out of this port?
I filled the housing with fuel, installed plug and started the truck. No problems... ... ... ... after a couple of minutes I had a steady 11. 5 lbs of fuel pressure on a mechanical guage.
Drove it approx 130 miles and lifted the hood when I started it later on that evening... ... ... ... ... it went to about 5 lbs and fluxuated 3-4 lbs before finally pressuring up to about 11 lbs in a minute or two.
I'm planning on buying a new LP later this week... ... ... ... . think this will help with my pressure problem or is it something else??
Thanks
Deano
