$3.09/gallon - Time to MothBall the CTD.

Diesel finally cheaper than gas

$1. 38x/liter at the shell behind my house... there is an olco fuel station near me that is suppose to have #2 for less than $1. 00 still, but i have never filled there and i don't quite want to. i don't know who their supplier is...

You call it SUPPLY & DEMAND! I call it PRICE GOUGING!! I saw the price of Diesel go up 40 cents/gallon in ONE HOUR!
About like the price per quart of Amsoil, Huh? ROFL... ... ...

At least the Amsoil will take you further down the road, and it hasn't increased in price nearly as fast! ;)

i just lucked out big time. . i stopped by the esso station by my workplace hoping for fuel at the $1. 25 range, and what did i see at the diesel pump...

$0. 939/liter :D:D:D:D:D

so i started filling my tank... and while i was trickling the last bit into the tank [really need to get that fuel tank vent mod done], the maniger came over and pointed out to me that the next pump over had just turned over to $0. 999, so i had picked the right time to fill up. . then i remembered that i had a bunch of empty water bottles [1. 5 liter ones] in my truck that i had been to lazy over the past month to toss in the recycling. so, they were clean and pretty dry, so i filled up 5 of them too [i had 6, but one cap missing:(]...

$110. 82 out of my pocket for now, but i should be good for the next 2-3 weeks [and i did something i never really wanted to do, i aired up all 4 tires to higher pressures than the 40/38psi i was running before for the cushey ride. now at 50/48psi]

i might pick up 4-8 liters of virgin cheap engine lube oil, as i can get it at like $0. 70 a liter on sale, and pour it in once the fuel is down from the cap... it would be less than a 10% mix and should burn quite nicely and help be get a little further down the road...

Do your research!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

inventories are at record highs and still the prices continue to climb! Price gouging at it finest!

It is groundless claims like this that gets everyone POed. Do some research before attempting to enter into a constructive debate.

I can speak for Calif, when all 13 refineries are on line we produce 43MM gal of refined finished gasoline while the state continues to consume 45MM gal. Inventories at record highs???, your dreaming. We are importing finished Gas, Jet, and Diesel from Hawaii, Wa state and occasionally Japan.

You should be happy that there is fuel available when you enter a gas station aswell as paying $3. 50 per gallon, at least there are no lines, (YET!!).

Mac

I think that all of us should cut out all unnecessary driving for the rest of the year. No more camping and vacations. No more unnecessary trips to Wal-Mart and Costco. If we have small economical car, lets drive them instead of our big bad CTD. :)

"THANK YOU HURRICANE KATRINA"

Hey graphics man

I am sure that the people of New Orleans, A city that is underwater and the 4 states that look like a war zone, as well as the 60,000 homeless people being shipped to live in the astrodome, share in your concern cause you have to pay 4. 50 per gallon I am very sorry that fuel cost is so high, it hurts my wallet as wel,l but that is just the way it is. Oh yeah at least you have a job to go to and a home to go to, there is a whole city down in Louisana that does not have that LUXURY. thats right THANK YOU KATRINA just a different look at things and I apologize in advance for offending you

Excuse me but... . Hurricane Katrina is a lame excuse for the ultra rich crooks that control our fuel prices to raise the price and sceram SHORTAGE. . What is happening thousands of miles away from Oregon, where I live should have little or NO effect on what we are getting bent over and have to pay at the pumps. It is just another LAME EXCUSE for the oil companys to get even richer! This is total BS and it will stop one way or another. The problem is that it will screw over the economy sooner than later. People are loosing their jobe so that the guys in the high rise buildings owned by the oil co's are getting ricker by the second! Here where I live, we have been getting price increases 2 to 3 times a day. No shortage here except for the money in my pocket to keep driving my truck and cars. I beleive that it is Texan that I am ashamed I voted for that is the main cause of this problem. Our Alsaka oil goes to Japan and China. I wonder wher The Bush family oli fields are shipping their over priced oil. Im sure it isnt getting refined here in the US! We get our oil from the countried that are taking our billions to help them eat and rebuild, yet they say thank you by charging us outragious prices on the oil that they produce. . What is wrong with this picture??? I say, cut them off of our aid, close our boarders, keep OUR oil here in the US and let the other guys that are taking our aid, aid that should be sent to the poor people in Mississippi! Lets take care of ourselves and our own. If there is anything left over, then think about sending it somewhere else. What I have seen on the news for the past week is ubserd! Why is the USA letting our own DIE in the flooded streets, yet we continue to send billions in releif over seas to help the guys that are taking us to the cleaners on their OIL. . This MUST STOP NOW! :-{}

The Alaskan oil goes to other places because there's not enough refining capacity in an accessable location to take it to on that side of the nation. Since it's a commodity, it's bought and sold for the same price, so it comes in from someplace else for a similar price for what it gets sold for. Not too difficult to understand to me. When refineries are running at 100% capacity to try and keep up with demand, when some go down, what do you expect other than high prices? Where exactly are these huge stockpiles of refined gas and diesel located? I'm thinking the "stockpiles" won't last very long at the rate we as a nation consume fuel, and once those are depleted the price will go up anyhow.

Well seeing how crude oil is sold for the same price no matter who's selling it, I'm not sure how it's President Bush's fault. Think about it, crude oil is a commodity and traded on various markets, with prices set by investors and so forth. Plus we don't have enough oil to supply this nation for very long, and after we come crawling back to the other nations after your plan to completely ditch them, how helpful do you think they'd be for us? It's in our best interest to not just walk away from other oil suppliers. I agree we should cut back on foreign aid, at least to places that aren't offering some sort of aid to us now to at least gesture that they appreciate us.

Well I am going to WVO in the Diesel Secret meathod. I already have a 30 gal. barrel and ordered a hand pump for pumping into the truck and a dolley for the barrel... .

Even if I do a 50/50 blend, the cost of the diesel and the WVO in 50 gallons is $1. 80/gal. average... During the warm months, I will do at least a 75/25 mix ($1. 10/gal. ) That 30 gal. barrel, I can take it with me on trips so I can do a 50/50 mix and save money that way...
