I just filled up and spent $2. 39 a gallon in Az. , I'm glad I get 20mpg towing with the a/c on. How are the fuel prices in the rest of the world?

Just made a business trip to Vancouver Island from home base in Georgia. We have the cheapest fuel in the US here in Ga. Still in the low 1. 50s here and there around the state but riseing. We have less state tax on fuel also. Wonder where it will stop.



Prices increased with each state as I progressed north and west with Washington state being the highest (some kind of enviromental impact fee that was five cents per gallon). BC was a bit more than any place in the states. With the exchange thing and liter confusion, who the he** knows what a gallon cost there but I think close to three dollars. Didn't buy that much but spent the last of the canadian dollars and trailed on home. There is definitely an impact on traffic with the increased fuel cost. Motels were not crowded or anything else for that matter.

I have filled up for $1. 69 for a while now. Gas is creaping up- over $1. 80 now for 87octane (reg here; mid in Colo, Wyo, et al). I have figured $150 for fuel to get out to Colo next week. SHOULD get 20 mpg on the hwy (taking clothes only this time round), but you never can tell, so I figured 16, then threw in a little extra cost.



But it still isnt as high as it was in the late 70s/ early 80s, if you figure in inflation. But I dont really want to get into that here.

The shell station at the corner wants $2. 45 a gallon. Getting to the point where I might just go to Costco and get some vegetable oil and an inline heater! Oh yeah, I forgot..... my Costco card expired. And that was two years ago... !!

1. 69 in northwest OH. gas is 1. 93. I have a gas van full of tools for work. So I told my wife to start driving the truck when she goes somewere. Leave the Astro van at home till the price difference is not so large.

well here in CT we're paying on average of $1. 83. gas prices are getting way high my wife actually put $20 in her neon!

Gas was 2. 11 and rising daily... . or perhaps hourly.

Glad we traded the wife's gas Jetta for a diesel a few months ago.

Southwest Virginia

For some reason, we are routinely as low as you will find in the state. I'm within 40 miles of the I-81 / I-77 crossroad, and we just went from $1. 55 to $1. 57. There are several refineries near Roanoke, but down in Roanoke they are usually as much as $. 10 to $15 higher than us.



Just came back from a Richmond/ Emporia trip and along the I-95 corridor it was from $1. 53 to $1. 59. I noticed as I passed Lynchburg that it was $1. 69.



James, will you please bring me 100 gallons the next time you're up this way?? I'll meet you wherever you want.

1. 769 near Ann Arbor. Unleaded gas was 2. 099. Time to get another diesel for the Wife

Unleaded is still hanging at $1. 999 in most places in southern ID. Diesel on the other hand has made the biggest jump. Cheapest is $2. 199 and the rest of the stations will run up to $2. 40 for the better #2 mixes. No end in sight yet.

Southwest Virginia(Grayson County)

Here along hwy 58 at the station i use the diesel went up last week from 1. 54 to 1. 59 which still isn't to bad compared to gas prices which range from 1. 88 to 2. 02 (crazy). If you venture over to neighboring Nc. (ashe County) reg= 1. 99, mid= 2. 02, and premium= 2. 20 some staions are a few pennies higher.

I live in a rural area and im not sure whats going to happen around here with prices like this as most pple around here are having to drive 40- over an hour to work because there are no jobs close.

TugBoatPhil sounds like your getting a little better deal than i am but sounds like its staying about the same for diesel.



TIME TO OUST ALL OF THEM IN THE NATION'S CAPITAL AND START OVER, GUESS YOU COULD SAY ITS TIME TO TAKE OUT ALL OF THE TRASH AND PUT IN A NEW BAG, JUST MY OPINION. .
