Fuel Prices?

Test post

Hello, In my neighborhood Diesel is running anywhere from 2 to 9 cents higher than unleaded Gasoline a gallon. How does this compare to other places? It seems like diesel would be cheaper.

While I was traveling recently I noticed some places it was cheaper. Whats the deal? Thanks in advance for any comments. DB

Dbartos, I grew up in Garden City and spent the first 20 years of my life there. How's the old town doing? I have not been there for 9 or 10 years.

sometimes it is higher and sometimes it is lower, depends on who they want to screw at that moment. It should away be cheaper.

dbartos...

I filled up the Dodge this evening and couldn't believe diesel prices either. I paid 1. 39/gal, same price as gas. The other two places in town had diesel for 1. 45 and 1. 56!!! #ad

In Indiana the price is anywhere from $1. 25 to $1. 35. It is almost always cheaper than gas. It also will not very that much from week to week. :)

Hey Guys!

I would be thrilled if I could get diesel all the time for "only" $1. 50 a gallon! I spend most of my time south of the border in central Mexico. Diesel down here hovers around $2. 00 per gallon all the time! Unleaded regular is around $2. 40 per gallon!!! Understand why I drive a diesel?

Just filled up on Sunday, paid 169. 9 at a Chevron in Northern California. Unleaded was selling for 158. 9 at the same station!

California is going to start tightening emissions on diesels soon. The ETH/DEE motor/transmission will not be available on the 2003 and later models sold here.

That's one of the main reasons I went ahead and bought my 2002 truck, I think the HO motor and 6 speed are awesome!

Thanks for the input everyone. Looks like its not just here after all. I remember back when there wasn't many diesels it seems like it was about 20 cents cheaper . Oh well, I still like my truck anyway. Ive had it 2 weeks it is a 95 RAM 3500 Flat bed. I will be using it mainly in my Electric Motor Buisness to do heavy hauls and long trips. If anyone can think of anything special I need to know. Please advise. Thanks! DB:)

Price

Has gone from $1. 16 to $1. 27 in the last two months in the greater gulf coast area. That really stinks. But what will happen is that the price will go down when the oil companies cannot sell all of the number 3 bunker oil (heating oil for up north).

This price gouging can go all the way up to march or april.
