Fuel Prices?

Diesel

Diesel was about three cents under regular gas about a month ago, now it is seven cents above regular at $1. 299 at Flying J in Orange. It is as high as $1. 399 here in Port Neches. As stated above, the price evidently depends on who they want to screw at that particular time. Oh, I forgot, we had a cold front come through a couple of days back and dropped the temperature down in the mid eighties, they must be getting set up to sell heating oil. bg

I had to stop a pilot to get some fuel and the price is $1. 41 compare to Fly J of $1. 27. What the truck over of the big price swing between the two.

Paid $2. 14 US money per US gallon in the Yukon a couple of weeks ago.

I had found an ARCO that was selling for 1. 41. 9 a week ago last Friday it was 1. 41. 9 Last Friday it was 155. 9:--) 14 cent increase Wonder how they can justify this Maybe we should start another boycott letter on the web It worked a while back when gas prices went up... Just a thought

Anyone think that the price of Diesel jumped up because we're pumping a lot more diesel into the national strategic reserve for the upcoming war in Iraq?



I've been scratching my head over the price jump and this thought popped into my mind!

I'm probably way off base but it's just a guess

It makes sense and explains the national wide jump in price over regular unleaded fuel.

It has been my observation over the years that when the heating season comes around prices go up.

Price here in Newport Oregon is 1. 39. Was a little cheaper earlier in the summer.

Its $1. 37 - 1. 45 in Central Missouri. Diesel always seems to go up in the fall, when the demand for home heating oil goes up. KL
