What is the threaded fitting on the VP44, where the fuel line comes in, used for? It has a black plastic cap on it. Can it be used to measure fuel pressure? My truck is an '02, built 11/12/01.
It's a Schrader valve used by the dealer to measure fuel pressure at the inlet of the VP44. You can use a refrigerant hose with a Schrader fitting at one end and an NPT fitting at the other to hook a gauge to it. I believe Briar Hopper has a temporary gauge kit that will do the job if you don't want to build your own.
