Greetings All,
My Fuel Pump Injector is leaking fuel at a good rate, but its behind the pump and I cant tell if its the pump or something behind the pump. Here is a link of a video I post on you tube, https://youtu.be/ua4JqFMPc1A
I would appreciate it y'all would watch this short video and tell my all your comments and suggestions. All comments will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help!
Brad

****If anybody needs another view of the fuel pump injector, just let me know, I will do more vidoes and take pics if requested.*****
Thanks

Hmmm, hard to tell from video exactly where fuel is coming from. Maybe use a mirror to determine exactly which fitting or joint is leaking and then look at a pump diagram. Sorry, not much help. I had a similar leak a few years ago, a little disassembly, and I was able to fix it myself easily with a new o-ring (cost me a couple bucks). Best of Luck!!

Thank you for the replies, since I am going to replace the seal, can I just lock the VE Pump remove from the old beast, replace the seal, and install the Pump with out moving the shaft.

This Cover?

cerberusiam,
Are you referring to this cover, red arrow pointing at it. :)

Yep, that is the usual culprit. If you run the engine to TDC on the timing marks and lock the pump with the bolt supplied you will be fine. You really don't even need to lock the pump, run the engine to TDC mark on the damper and note the position of the key way in the pump shaft and put it back the same position. There ar eonly two positions it can install as long as you don't change the gear meshing.

ok gents, what is the trick or the correct tool to remove the bottom and right side (as if your were driving) nuts off the pump....I am out of ideas...

I use several extension bars to get to the back of the pump with the ratchet, it is much easier if the extension with the socket has a wobble joint on it with a shallow socket. It's still a pain in the butt, but it can be done with out buying new tools

Ok, I finally got the pump out, however my dumb @SS scared the threads on one of the output fittings that goes to the injector, so my question is, where can I find one of those fittings, output of the pump going to the injector line. ***edited** guess my question is what is the input size and output side, then I can google search, this is all factory VE Pump, the "O" was bad and I just put over 225K on her, not bad if you ask me, hopefully that "O" ring was the problem, but leaking from the back I dont see any other gasket. Crossing my fingers, but please what is the factory fitting size?

Thanks

Easiest way to get the pump off is remove the PS\vac pump unit so you can get to the bolts. Just pull the oil sender first or you will be buying a new one.

If you are talking about the fitting on the distribution head, parts pump or dealer.

Where can I find the parts diagram for the VE Pump (VP14 is the model number) or is there a rebult manuall for this VE Pump....I have been searching online however I cant find a darn think, any and all information will be greatly appreciated.
