Does any know what the fuel pump pressure is of that in tank fuel pump conversion # 68003054AB that dodge seals as an update?

That part # comes up as gear oil? Pain in the but to service when it breaks and you have to lift the bed or drop the tank.

Mine runs about 9 psi at idle and 6 psi at WOT. The conversion was made at 70K miles under extended warranty along with the VP44. My understanding is that pressure is not as important as
flow rate for keeping the VP44 cool and happy. Now have about 150K and all is good.

When my VP44 and lift pump were replaced under warranty years ago, the old lift pump was removed and a new lift pump was installed in the fuel tank by the dealer. I tested and recorded the lift pump pressure after I picked up the truck. It was 6 psi at idle and 3 psi at 2500 rpm (driving briefly at wide open throttle). I think we are talking about the same lift pump.

I notified the dealer about the low lift pump pressure (the engine mounted lift pump performed better) and was told that they were aware that the pressure was lower, but it is the fix. I drove the truck with that lift pump for 162,000 miles without any problems and then switched to a FASS frame mounted lift pump for better performance and ease of access if it needed replacement..

I seen it on ebay that was the part number they have listed and was wondering what the pressure was. I have put stock type on when I replaced the injection pump. It has about 40k on it now. I have one of those low pressure 5 psi dummy light on it. When it is pulling hard the light flickers. So I was thinking about doing something about it. The stock pump runs around 5 psi at best. I have had customers that had Fast pumps fail and if they had a problem Fast didn't care just left them hanging. Not that I think they are bad pumps I just don't do business like that.

Thanks guys.

Any manufacturer's pump can fail at any time. I bought two used FASS DRP-02 pumps (one came with the frame rail bracket) for less than the cost of a single new one. I tested them both for flow and pressure and I installed one on the frame rail and I carry the other in the truck. I expect that the lift pump will fail at some point in my travels, but it will be an easy exchange and I won't be needing a tow and an expensive repair like I would if the pump was in the tank. Also, mounting the pump on the frame has almost the same benefit as being in the tank - the inlet is flooded most of the time.

If you want to keep your stock location I would get a Raptor pump. That is what I use and it keeps up fine with my Edge Juice on level 5. I tried the Fass DRP-02 and it was not any better than the stock pump. In all fairness they say not to use it with a modified fuel system so that was on me.

FYI, they all drop about 3 psi with winter fuel at WOT, at idle they don't change much.

About 8 years ago I purchased a big line kit from Glacier Diesel Products, 2 micron fuel filter kit and a Walbro pump with regulator kit all for around $300. It's performed excellently. Unfortunately I just went to the GDP site and they don't appear to offer the Walbro kit. The problems with FASS you mentioned are what strayed me from going with their system. I have heard their system issues were resolved years ago.
