well i had to have a new fuel pump installed old one went out well not that old 27000 miles or 1. 5 years old took it to the dealer to have it done $1067 later they put in the tank said it was better than out side denied me warranty because of box edge juice hot so i now this was alot but had to have it done so my quiston to you diesel heads out there is it time to put on a fass any answers would be thankfull john c

1st of all, I would contest the arguement that the aftermarket parts you installed caused your lift pump to fail. There have been countless instances of lift pumps failing on completely stock trucks.

As for an aftermarket pump, the fass will work fine. The glacier system seems like it might be a little cheaper, a little quieter, and provide a little more volume and pressure. I've had my fass on for about 50k miles with no problems.

hey jlibert do you have a web address or a telephone # where to get one of the glacier units thanks john c _________________________________________________________________04. 5 3500 afe intake edge juice hot strait pipe no cat dpp 50hp inj

hey guys thanks for the help i plan on getting one of the glacier units which one do recomend and are they hard to install since they put the new stock one in the fuel tank

Not sure about the glacier unit, but for the fass you have to:

drop the fuel tank (not that hard, just wait till it's almost empty) pull the stock pump

drill a hole for the new pickup tube, then attach the pickup tube

reinstall the stock pump, and reinstall the tank

attach the new pusher pump to the frame rail

Attach new fuel lines

attach wiring harness

I left my stock pump and plumbing in place and tied the hose off to the side. In case of a failure on the road, I could easily reconnect the wiring to the stock pump, and swap hoses until I was able to replace the pusher pump.

You don't need no aftermarket lift pump if you have a in-tank lift pump. Do some searching on these forums and you will see guys putting down over 500 hp on a stock in-tank lift pump. Oh yah and another thing I have not read about anyone killing their injection or lift pump running high hp on a in-tank lift pump.
