2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Fuel Return line leak

1994 2500 4X4 manual transmission. My fuel return line has ruptured for the second time this year. Ruptures a few inches from the injector pump. Can't get my hand on it. Have to use an inspection mirror to see it. The shop replaced it pretty quick the first time. Is this common? Is there something else I need to check out?

Haven't heard of one rupturing, especially twice in a year. Did the shop use diesel rated fuel line? Usually they just develop cracks and start bleeding a little air, over long periods of time.
