Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Fuel return lines

I'm installing an aftermarket fuel filter/heater assembly, and am wondering how to delete the stock filter assembly off the side of the engine. How is everyone getting the injector return line and the injection pump return line to feed into the same return line back to the tank. Does or Can someone make a kit for this using the proper fittings and hose, or point me in the right direction?



This is for my '98 12v.

This is similar to what i'm installing but without all the necessary bio-diesel heaters.

You can cut the Banjo off the injector return line and "T" it into the rubber return line you will be running all the way back to the tank.





On edit: noticed its for a 98, different filter housing then my 95, but the same may apply, it just may be different where the return line goes into the filter housing.

I have been wanting to know the same. I have a FASS fuel 150-180 that I beleive gets rid of the stock lift pump and filter housing. I have yet to find a way to get the injector return and the injection pump return lines to T into each other and go back to the tank without leaking. Anyone have detailed photos?

I did an aeromotive setup on my 12 valve, and for a tee, I went to home depot in the plumbing section and put together a 3/8 x 3/8 x 1/4 tee out of brass barbed fittings. 1/4" was for the injector return line, 3/8's barbs are for the return line itself. I may be able to grab a pic if you cant get a pic of it in your head.

Now that helps out a ton. 1. i wasn't sure if you could use brass fittings. 2. Wasn't really sure what size the return line was for the injectors. We may have stainless fitting's like that here around the shop. A pic would be very helpful just so others can see what we're talking about.

Here is what I did on my 98 12v when I did the install of my FASS unit. A T fitting and some extra pushlok connectors and your all set. Cut the banjo bolt mount off where the injector return line attaches to the fuel filter top and we flared the end a little to ensure the line would stay put. Tighten the hose clamps and your all done... ... ... Andy

Its rather crappy that when you get the fass fuel (and it aint cheap) that they don't even discuss your fuel return and how to do it. Or include parts for getting the fuel to return to your tank. All they say is make sure you fuel return goes into the pump then I guess the pump has to pump it back to the tank?

Thank You Hammer. I thought about cutting and flaring the line, but wanted other thoughts. I guess now i'll just go ahead and do it the same way as yours.
