2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission fuel sending unit

I have a 98. 5 that is ready to sell, but wouldn't you know it the sending unit crapped out on the way down to the do it yourself car lot. I know it loves me and doesn't want to go away but I need the dough. There is a sending unit from a 2000 on Ebay right now... ... The question is does anyone know if it is the same???? Help I only have afew hours on this one.
