first time posting. have read many posts on this item. spent several days troubleshooting truck for low power. finally found solenoid was not going full stroke because the boot was thrashed. have new one on order from larry B's.
am now concerned about the relay as a precaution. some have indicated they cleaned the contacts on the relay. my question is how do you get the relay out of the housing. i removed the bracket that holds both relays but it looks like there are tabs that retain the relay in the housing. would it be better to use the radio shack relay or the heavy duty relay that larry B has? any info would be appreciated.
