Fuel Spinners?

Any one ever use or hear of a fuel spinner on a cummins? Heard some good feedback on one installed on a CAT.

Go onto Dave Fritz's web site, there is a CTD that has one there, with pictures. I queried the company for info about a month ago and they have not responded. Haven't had time to follow up.

I think it's an oil spinner and not a fuel spinner.



They work very well, but not very well if you do a lot of short trip driving.

It seems i may have been miss,informed about what this actually does. i was told from a friend that is takes the air out of the fuel? well from what i can see it uses centrifical force to seperate the dirt etc. from the oil or fuel. Mabe it does other things to the fuel as well being mixed at 6000rpm?

he said it gave about a 50hp increase on his CAT?

Ok I see the confusion.



You are talking about a fuel preporator. And yes these do remove the air from the fuel. I, or possibly we, are confusing these with an oil spinner.



I would really like to try one too(I don't think there is such a thing as trying it when they cost as much as they do), as I have heard they are great investments for the big rigs. More HP and better fuel economy.



They are ~$750, so installing one our our truck is a little spendy. From what I understand they are good for a 1-3 MPG increase in fuel economy on a Cummins. Chip at Blue Chip Diesel installed on on his truck and if I remember correctly got about 2 MPG.



I think Enterprise Engine sells these too. You might try them for some more info.
