fuel supply line to injection pump

Anybody know how much the metal supply line to the injection pump costs or its part number? I am talking about the line that comes out the top of the pump, bends back and goes until the head until a union.



In trying to troubleshoot a leaking fitting, I discovered the threads iwere damaged by some dirt/paint/whatever preventing a good seal.



Also, anybody have a good used one they want to sell?

Case500D had to replace the one on his truck when we changed out the injection pump in Okla. Cost from the Cummins shop in Tulsa was around $40 for the line. This line went from the fuel filter to the injection pump.



I will need to get a hold of him if you want the number.

I thought the line was sold as 2 separate parts since there is a union? If not, I suppose $40 is not so bad for both. If he has the part number handy that would be great otherwise no big deal.

The line I got was both sections. I was the one that picked it up. The bad part was the $50. we had to pay to get Cummins to open after hours.





I'll call Jeremy and see if he still has the number in a little while.

Is it leaking where the two lines connect or at the injection pump fitting? Theres a washer that goes under the fuel supply fitting at the injection pump. I bet theres something between the two lines at the union as well. This is why you keep these two together during pump r&r, and just remove it at the pump and fuel filter.

Its leaking at the injection pump fitting. The threads are visibly marred in more than one location. I am not sure when the damaged started, but I bet it was from a previous owner because Daniel had trouble with this fitting a couple of months ago. I was able to get it to stop leaking back then, but no such luck this time.

Holy smokes, the Cummins dealer has the fuel supply lines I need in stock!!



The line is all separate parts, here is the breakdown:

I sure wish mine would bust. I'd love to have the stainless steel wire braided hose made up. They look killer. Just something 'bout stainless steel braided hose that turns me on

We had a bomb scare in town today that shut down Interstate 40 during most of the afternoon. But that wasn't going to stop me from getting to the Cummins dealer! The new fuel line fits very nicely and doesn't leak a drop. I cleaned the underside of the engine with Engine Brite and took it for a spin. The power curve feels pretty good right now. I may bump up the timing a hair after I find out what kind of fuel economy I am getting.
