I just installed a set of Isspro gauges (boost, egt, and fuel pressure) on my truck tonite and my fuel readings are alarming. I am getting 12 psi on initial startup which then drops to 4 psi after a few seconds. While driving around town under any load 0-1 psi is all it reads and nothing at WOT. I talked to the local diesel mechanic and he claims psi is not a issue anymore. His shop tests volume out of the lift pump not psi. From researching this forum i have found that anything below 5 psi is bad news. I am pretty sure the guage is working properly except for the question of bleeding it. Is it necessairy to bleed a fuel pressure guage at the actual Guage? Are there problems with my lift pump? If so what reccomendations do you guys have for helping my situation (Vulcan, pushers ect)? I plan on putting a comp on this truck but i wanted to get all my bases covered before i go on getting more power out of the truck.
thanks
joe
