I want to get away from the whole banjo bolt thing. What a-n

fitting can i use to replace the ones at the inj. pump filter and pusher (lift) pump? I take it the treads are not tapered. Am i correct in this? I was thinking -6 from the tank to the aux. pump then to rest of system. Is -6 big enough? The truck is heavly fueled and will prob. get more in future. also what's best way to tackle this at the tank? also should i do same to return lines?

Iv'e read the other posts on the banjo's(i have geno's) and just want to get away from a potential problem from the sound of it.

Thanks in advance for any help Guy's.

Looking at your Profile...

I think an 6 fittings would be large enough. You have the "pusher" already, so just upgrading the banjo,s (5 of these) should allow you to get to 400HP or more. I do not know the exact part #'s but if you search for the thread;

"Pumps, lines and whatnot"

it should answer all of your questions.

Proram, you are thinking along the right track.

12mmX1. 5 thread is the weber fitting you need for the inlet/outlet of the fuel filter and the inlet of the VP44. I use -6AN, which is more enough for what I have ( Bully dog step 5 injectors, Edge EZ box and TST PM3 Competition box piggybacked). I don't use the OEM lift pump, I have a PE 4100 set to flow at 14 psi's post filter @ idle. It takes ALOT of pedal to drag it below 10 psi's at WOT, and it recovers very quickly during a sustained WOT run back to 11-12 psi's.

You can get everything you need at summitracing.com

Thanks much Guy's Should i be doing any thing to the return? or just let it alone? I have the carter Hp aux pusher, also any sug. on a GOOD filter? Whit. Thanks i'm a Russel fan anyways plus Summit just LOVES me (from the race car) :D Scott, How do you like the 4100? i've been thinking about Changing to one but was concerned about longevity. Again TIA

WHEW:p :p REALITY!!!

Where have you guys been.

Look at threads BANJO LESSONS LEARNED and from 911 archives CRAZY FUEL PRESSURE READINGS.

:--) :--)

by the way have a complete banjo set from gs for free.

Scott, so far, zero complaints with the PE4100. It's been in for a little over 6 months now, which isn't much. If it survives the winter I will start bragging and setting off very large fireworks :D . Until then, I just take it day by day and keep a close eye on the FP gauges. Best part about the 4100 is it's 2 year warranty. It's built like a brick I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER house for sure. Time will tell if it lasts.

I would leave the return line alone. Mine is stock and I see no need to change it right now. Racor makes some great fuel filters for our needs. I have no pre-lift pump filter anymore ( at the request of PE) but I do plan on loosing the OEM fuel filter at some time in the future for a Racor.

Scott, Can i ask what you did back at tank as to the fuel line? Did you pull the PU and put an a-n fitting on or What. Where'd you get the 4100 I can't find any listed in jegs or summit. just 4140's and such. do you use a reg. to control the press. ? I found all the fittins i need so now it's just the small stuff. TIA Scott S.

Scott, my inbound hardline was cut back by the tank ( actually just forward of the tank), where it straightens from the bend to ride the contour of the frame. I adapted to the braided line by using a Earls compression to -AN fitting. The compression fitting seats over the hardline and you then just attach your hose end of the braided line for a clean install.

You can't get the PE pump from Summits or Jegs. One source is the manufacturer http://www.productengr.com/ . Another source is CScott, a fellow TDR member that has a speed shop. Craig is the one that found the pump/manufacturer. I also believe that one of the vendors that advertises on this site is now carrying the Product Engineering pump, but their name escapes me at the moment.
