 hi all,i am trying to decide which way to go with a fuel system... already have vulcan big line kit and 2 spare lift pumps... still have 11 mos. left on my engine warranty. with that said,i have searched all i can find on upgrading my fuel systm for the near future. the more i read the more confused i get. walbro,rasp,etc... do i need to upgrade the return lines?thepick up system? does anyone have a complete list of mods/parts needed to make this thing reliable/ right the first time?i know there are alot of opinions... i think i like the idea of a mechanical system instead of electric. any help apprreciated. thanks, mike

LOL :)

Two topics with the same name right at the top.

Check this TDR thread out. The OEM Carter supplies more than enough fuel.

I just did a 1/2 inch line upgrade and installed a Draw Straw. Very good fuel pressure so far. IMO well worth the effort.

I spent a lot of time and money on mine last year trying to get it to work reliably, correctly, and better. If you are going to go down the electric pump path, then the Vulcan kit you have is a good and easy way to go. If I had it do do all over again and didn't have a ton of time and money already invested then I would choose the Rasp mechanical pump route. It is not cheap, but adding up all the cost for my pump relocate and replacement pumps so far I think I've spent about what the Rasp is going for.

Your stock return line should be fine. Probably no need to modify the tank pickup.

I already purchased and installed the Glacier 392, nice clean install and quiet. I searched everywhere for a rasp but could not find any dealers.
