Fuel Tank fill amount

I have been dying to post this, my first and maybe last since I am newbie. I had seen a post around here and can't find it about being able to put a lot more fuel in then the tank says, and it occurred to me that the person might want to see if he is really getting a gallon of fuel out of the pump. He is paying for a whole gallon It might be worth measuring out one. Thanks.
