I returned home last night from an out of town trip to see a puddle of fuel under my truck. It first looked like the rear end was leaking but upon closer inspection I determined that it was indeed the fuel tank.

Before I left for my trip I filled up my truck and then parked it. It was a normal fill up. Nothing more and nothing less. This morning I looked to see where the leak was coming from. The top part of the tank where the hose assembly goes into was drenched with #2. Is this normal? Should there be any seepage around this area? Also, I should mention that my driveway has about a 15-20% grade which I am thinking that when I park with a full tank the fuel is at an angle to the top of the tank.

Furthermore, this is not the first time that I filled up. But I do drive my truck daily so it never really sits with a tank that is topped off for more than a day.

Can anyone offer any advice on this dilemma? Should I go to the stealer?

Thanks in advance. Sam.

Souds as if the fuel came out the overflow tube , it is ontop of the tank where all the other plumbing is, I would wash it clean and then monitor it on level ground before I got to excited ... ... ... ..... Kevin
