2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Fuel Tank Module???

Hello all, anyone know if a fuel tank module out of an '04 short box will fit my '99 dually? A picture on ebay looks the same but was told the wiring plug might be different. Anyone have an old module for my pickup they would be willing to part with? I made a spacer out of a 5 gallon bucket top to fix the "worn out legs" syndrom but would like a spare on hand. I am also curious about the draw straw that fits inside the module. Anyone have any experience with this?

I did the draw straw in the module & it works great, good upgrade.

The modules will interchange. The '04 has the same connections as your '99, but they are plastic fittings on the module. Our testing shows your '99 to be a freer flowing unit.



That said, the DS1 will fit into both of those modules. And the new module fittings are going to be released very soon as well. So the DS1 will work the same, but this will be an easier install.
