namely where to fine one because mine gives faulty readings. I am also wondering if a sensor from a like capacity fuel tank from a gas powered 1993 dodge truck/van might work. Any ideas?

does anyone know where to buy fuel tank sensors? Or know if a sensor from another year Dodge vehicle will work?

Have you tried any of the usual haunts... Geno's, LMC, PDP, etc..?

thanks Fastback67, I have tried LMC. They claimed to have the part. But the picture they sent showed it had a fuel pump with the sensor and fuel pick-up. I haven't heard about Geno's and PDP till now.

Genos has them and they work. Got one of those for my 91 over a year ago.

another question: does know if they make fuel sending units for custom made fuel tanks? I have a home made 56 gallon fuel tank that fits between the rear frame rails. It makes for great range but I never know how much fuel I have in it.

You can find a fuel sending unit for a misc. tank at marine dealers.
